Keep in mind the set directory which you earlier set for the installation. You have to set up by downloading it and DMG files are must be mounted first and do run. Probably the most recommended zii process to do and has been up to date to the fourth version being compatible with CC 2019, CC 2020, CC 2021, CC 2022. I guess I could install Photoshop 2020 (I've read where folks have had success with this on their M1's), but I would really like to use Photoshop 2021. I've never had any problems with Adobe Zii in the past. I've spent hours trying to resolve this, trying to find a solution, but with no luck. I went to Adobe Zii com and tried every workaround they suggested but still cannot get the apps to open. I tried patching Illustrator and Lightroom Classic to see if it was just a problem with Photoshop, but I got the same results. But, when I tried to open Photoshop after patching it, a pop-up window appeared with a message saying Photoshop could not be opened.
Then I successfully patched Photoshop with Adobe Zii 6.1.7. I then denied all internet connections to any existing Adobe domains by using Little Snitch. I downloaded Photoshop 22.5.1 via the Creative Cloud app and used it for a couple of days. Since the newest version of Adobe Zii (7.00) does not yet support Photoshop 23.1 (2022), I decided to install Photoshop 22.5.1 (2021) and use Adobe Zii 6.1.7 to patch it. I decided to upgrade Photoshop to a newer version to run on my new machine (I've been using Photoshop CC 2018 on my old machine). I recently purchased the new 16" MacBook Pro with an M1 Pro chip.
