
I even have short cuts to certain Excel & Word files related to guitar & music that I need access to often. I also have short cuts to various Folders that contain my Music files and guitar backing tracks. In that folder I place Icons for all my Guitar & Music related apps (Cubase, Audacity, X-edit, PC Drummer, VLC player, Media Player). For example, I create a unique folder on the desktop named Guitar. For example, if I'm doing audio related tasks I open my AUDIO group folder which resides on the desktop which contains a dozen or so Icons and various shortcuts for all my audio resources.īut here's what I'm saying about using the Desktop and Group Folders which I feel is more efficient.

I still make very good use of the old Windows concept of "Group Folders" on the desktop. Now that's just off the top of my head, the tasks I perform most often that do not require an Internet connection.
